EXPERIMENTAL CLOCK

Description

I designed an experimental clock that subtly incorporates my love for boba and games to tell time. The boba pearl ascending the straw represents each passing day, revealing words indicating my activities. On the left side, time markers signify when I switch activities. I added a gaming element by using military time, reflecting my anticipation for game maintenance periods during the day.

The ascending boba pearl symbolizes a full drink. It serves as a reminder to purchase another boba, preventing me from losing track of time throughout the day.

Design Process

I considered three main ideas for the clock. The first involved adding a boba pearl every hour through user interaction. The second idea featured 24 boba pearls, each representing an hour, with user clicks revealing activities. I ultimately chose the third idea, foregoing interactivity to mimic real-life time passage. The boba pearl autonomously ascends the straw, embodying the natural flow of time.

Assignment Reflection

I learned how to use sine waves through a youtube video that I watched. It went in depth about what each line of code does and how I can manipulate it to do what I want. Also, I wish I used the hour() min () sec(), but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to incorporate it into my project.
